A 13-YEAR-OLD boy is one of four children who have been arrested after a woman was raped in a Sheffield park.
Cops received a report that a 21-year-old woman had been raped in High Hazels Park in the city.
South Yorkshire Police launched an investigation after receiving reports a 21-year-old woman had been raped in High Hazels Park in Sheffield [/caption]The park would have been in complete darkness at the time of the attack on Monday, November 23.
South Yorkshire Police executed two warrants as part of their inquiries and arrested four boys on suspicion of rape.
The youngsters are aged 13, 14, 15 and 16 and remain in custody where they are being questioned by detectives.
Officers have stepped up their patrols in the local area to reassure local residents.
At the time it was first reported, Det Insp Ben Wood said: “There will be heightened patrols in the area from uniform officers to provide reassurance.”

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman added: “Four people have been arrested following reports of a rape in Darnall, Sheffield last week.
“Four boys aged 13, 14, 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of rape and remain in custody at this time.”
