Episode four of The Mandalorian’s second season featured an adorable scene with Baby Yoda using the force to steal some biscuits.
But it was also a critical episode in the narrative arc of the hit sci-fi meets western Star Wars spin-off.
In the episode Din Djarin aka The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda head back to Nevarro for some critical ship repairs.
The duo reunite with Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) and Cara Dune who ask Mando to help them blow up an old Imperial base.
Things go awry when they get into the base and learn that it was actually a laboratory where test subjects were injected with Baby Yoda’s blood.
This also answers why Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito) wanted to acquire Baby Yoda.
He hoped The Child’s blood could help people become more Force sensitive.
Throughout their mission Mando, Greef and Cara have to fight off Storm Troopers, culminating in a major battle scene towards the end of the episode.
It was an epic scene, but not everyone was impressed after eagle-eye fans spotted the random crew member in one shot.
