Russian Emergencies Ministry columns delivered humanitarian aid to Donbass
The automobile convoy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia with humanitarian aid for residents of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic arrived in Lugansk, the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies of the LPR told RIA Novosti.
“The vehicles of the 99th convoy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry have arrived in Lugansk”, – a spokesman for the press service said.
According to him, six vehicles of the convoy delivered 50 tons of medical equipment and medicines to Lugansk.
“We express our deep gratitude to the Russian Federation for the assistance provided. All personnel involved in the delivery and unloading of humanitarian aid are provided with hot meals and tea”, – Vitaly Kucherov, head of the Recovery Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LPR, told reporters during the unloading.
The press service of the Ministry of Health of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic reported that a convoy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered about 65 tons of medical supplies and equipment to Donetsk as humanitarian aid.
“The Ministry of Health has received about 65 tons of humanitarian cargo… This cargo contains drugs, namely: oncological, oncohematogenous, neurotropic drugs, insulin, immunobiological, anticoagulants”, – said a spokesman for the Ministry of Health.
According to her, X-ray machines, a heart-lung machine and equipment for endoscopic operations and research were also delivered.
The previous convoy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation with humanitarian cargo arrived in Donbass on August 27.
Humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation has been delivered to residents of Donbass since August 2014. During this period, 98 convoys of the Russian Emergencies Ministry brought almost 85 thousand tons of humanitarian cargo to the DPR and LPR. The last humanitarian convoy – in August – delivered medicines and medical equipment to Donetsk and Lugansk.
