Christmas shop sells bauble that looks like coronavirus bacteria
An online festive shop has designed a Christmas tree decoration made to look like the coronavirus bacteria.
The glass ornament is said to ‘encapsulate the last year’ and is advertised as an ideal ‘solution for the oily surge of goodwill’ in December.
The red, green and silver bauble is being launched by company London Bohemian on November 1 and will retail at £29.95.
It has been designed by a retail product developer made redundant as a result of the pandemic.

The ornament will – according to the advert – ‘loom inappropriately during even the most heart-warming holiday moments’.
It reads: ‘Guaranteed to add a curdled dash of despair to even the most idyllic Christmas scene.
‘The Covid-19 Christmas Ornament encapsulates a wretched year that richly deserves to be encased in lead-lined concrete and fired into the sun’s seething core.’
The bauble being sold exclusively on Amazon.
