Celebrity Gogglebox fans break down in tears watching brave young girl’s 7-year cancer battle
CELEBRITY Gogglebox fans broke down in tears as they watched a brave girl’s seven-year battle with cancer.
Last night’s Stand Up To Cancer special of the Channel 4 show included moving videos from those suffering from the deadly disease as it encouraged viewers to donate money to the charity.
Stars such as Craig David, John Bishop, and David Mitchell joined our favourite sofa-dwellers for the episode, giving their thoughts on this week’s telly.
They were also introduced to a little girl called Rebecca, whose story was shown on the channel earlier in the week.
Rebecca had been diagnosed with cancer as a young child, with heartbreaking clips showing her break down in tears as she opened up about her fear of dying.
She was also seen sobbing while cuddling up to her mum as she underwent painful chemotherapy, admitting that she’d questioned if she’d got the illness because she’d “done something wrong”.
Rebecca’s mum then revealed she’d relapsed three times, adding: “She’s entering into her seventh year of treatment now and she never seems to get a break from it.
“Nobody’s said from the beginning that she’ll make it through, you just have to hope each time.”
The celebs and usual Gogglebox stars couldn’t hide their upset, with KSI wiping tears from his face as best friends Jenny and Lee sobbed in their living room.
