Adele’s best friend Alan Carr insists she’s always been ‘gorgeous’ but people are ‘focussed on the size of her knickers’
ADELE’S best friend Alan Carr has insisted she’s always been “gorgeous” after losing seven stone.
The comic, 44, says he gets annoyed that people are “focussed on the size of her knickers” instead of her incredible singing voice.
Adele, 32, has been celebrating her incredible transformation since unveiling her weight loss back in May.
Commenting on the hysteria surrounding her new look, Alan told ITV’s Lorraine said: “She’s always been gorgeous with those eyes and her lips.
“With Adele you sort of miss the point if you’re just worried about what size knickers she wears.
“It’s about the voice, that inspirational awesome voice.
“If the voice got skinny, I’d say ‘girl, get a Gregg’s down you’!”
The changing image of the London-born singer coincides with a new chapter of her life.
She split with husband Simon Konecki, 46, last year and is preparing to release her fifth album after a five-year hiatus.
