Kossobutskiy faces change in opponent

Just over a week ago Zhan Kossobutskiy (14-0, 13) [Жан Кособуцкий] had an opponent named for his October 17th in Dusseldorf, Germany. Sadly that opponent has now changed, and, on paper, it appears to be a down grade for the unbeaten Kazakh hopeful.
Originally it was announced that Kossobutskiy would be up against unbeaten American James McKenzie Morrison (17-0-2, 15), with the bout being for Kossobutskiy's IBO Inter-Continental title and, potentially, the IBF European title.
Not it appears Morrison is out and has been replaced by 43 Steve Vukosa (12-1, 4), who's known as the "Gentle Giant".
Sadly this is a downgrade from an unbeaten puncher who would be expected to really test Kossobutskiy, to a 40-something year old who who was stopped 3 fights ago and has fougth just 12 rounds in the last 5 and a half years.
According to reports in Kazakhstan Morrison had been offered a different fight than the one with Kossobutskiy and has taken that instead.
At the time of writing there are still plans for Kossbutskiy to defend his minor IBO title and for the IBF regional title to be on the line for this bout.
