Spurs fans will love Gareth Bale’s two-word Instagram post after resuming training

Gareth Bale’s Tottenham return is finally starting to take shape after the Welshman stepped out on the training pitches at Hotspur Way for the first time since joining on a season-long loan from Real Madrid last month.

The 31-year-old picked up a knee injury whilst playing for Wales in September and won’t be available until after the upcoming international break.

The good news for Jose Mourinho, who asked for his players to be protected by international managers, is that Bale wasn’t called-up by Ryan Giggs for Wales’ friendly against England on Saturday, nor their Nations League games against Ireland and Bulgaria.

Instead, the flying winger will remain in London and continue his rehabilitation on that knee problem in a bid to be fit for Spurs’ first match after the break – which is against West Ham on 17 October.

We’ve already seen a delighted Bale celebrate Tottenham’s Carabao Cup victory over Chelsea on Tuesday, and that beaming smile was on show once more at Hotspur Way as he took his first steps to recovery.
