Presidential debate: When it starts and where to watch Trump and Biden go head to head
President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden will go head to head in the first of three presidential debates on Tuesday night in Cleveland, Ohio.
Here are all the details.
When: Tuesday, September 29 from 6-7:30 p.m. Pacific Time
Where: Case Western University and the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio
How to watch: The debate will be carried live, commercial free on CNN, Fox News, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and C-SPAN. Several of the networks will also live stream the debate, as will Google. NPR will also have live coverage.
Moderator: Chris Wallace, anchor of Fox News Sunday
Topics: Wallace has chosen six topics, including the Trump and Biden records, the Supreme Court, COVID-19, the economy, race and violence, and the integrity of the election.
With just 35 days until the election, both the Trump and Biden camps will be looking to boost excitement — and therefore turnout — among their supporters and lure any remaining undecided voters, although polling suggests the vast majority of likely voters have made up their minds.
While the first debate is expected to be the most widely watched, the duo will face off two more times, on October 15 in Nashville, Tennessee and Oct. 22 in Miami, Florida.
Vice President Mike Pence and Democratic nominee Sen. Kamala Harris of California will debate each other once, in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 7.
