Watch: Ayesha Curry dishes on Steph’s new side job
Ayesha Curry, wife of Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry, recently revealed on The Kelly Clarkson Show that her husband has a new job: teacher.
The couple have three children: Riley, 8, Ryan, 5, and Canon, 2. Apparently, Steph has been taking over a good deal of the remote learning responsibilities while schools in the Bay Area have been shuttered.
“Stephen has really stepped in with the education and their schooling and I’m OK with that,” says Ayesha. “Because I said, you know, ‘I birthed them so now you can birth and nurture their education.’”
A shortened NBA season during the pandemic has given Steph more time at home, and he’s nailing the role, according to Ayesha.
“He’s making up for lost time to be quite frank,” says Ayesha. “Because he would sleep through all the diaper changes in the late nights when they were babies so now this is his strong suit.”
It appears that Curry might have also gotten some extra time as teacher. He opted out of a two-week voluntary Warriors camp that started on Sep. 21, citing family reasons.
Ayesha has been busy lately with her own projects. During the interview, she talked about her newest cookbook: The Full Plate: Flavor-Filled, Easy Recipes for Families with No Time and a Lot to Do, and new magazine Sweet July.
