Mechanics take car apart to rescue naughty kitten that got stuck inside its dashboard
A naughty kitten had to be rescued by mechanics after it became stuck inside a car’s dashboard.
A video shows John Chamber-Thieling, service advisor for a Tim Dahle Nissan in Murray, Utah, leading a team of car mechanics as they tear apart a vehicle to rescue the kitten.
‘We got a phone call from a customer that had rescued a cat,’ Chamber-Thieling said. ‘But the cat ended up inside it’s dashboard.’
The workers in the video begin tearing up the dashboard on the passenger side of the car.
Chamber-Thieling asks if ‘they have any cat treats’ as the mechanics continue to work, taking the radio out of the car.
‘He’s finding the only spot in the entire car,’ one technician says, still not able to pull the cat out to safety.
‘Instead of coaxing him, if we can get a hand in there, we should just pull him gently out,’ Chamber-Thieling said.
As one technician pushed from the radio, and the other stayed below the dashboard, and they were able to bring the fluffy black, white and ginger kitten to safety.
The technician clutched the small cat to his chest and calls her ‘such a cutie’ while kissing her.
The kitten was the car owner’s pet and was returned safely after the rescue.
‘We got a happy ending,’ Chamber-Thieling said.
