Emirates FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round Draw
We will find out our opponents at 13:00 today as the Emirates FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round draw is set to take place. The ties for this round will commence on Saturday 3rd October in what will be our first competitive game of the season. This draw will be regionalised so we will only draw teams from up North.
These are the teams that are likely to be placed in the Northern section:
AFC Fylde
AFC Telford United
Ashton United
Atherton Collieries
Blyth Spartans
Boston United
Bradford (Park Avenue) AFC
Chester FC
Chorley
Consett
Curzon Ashton
Darlington
Farsley Celtic
FC United Of Manchester
Gateshead
Grantham Town
Guiseley
Hednesford Town
Hyde United
Lancaster City
Longridge Town
Marine
Marske United
Morpeth Town
Mossley
Nantwich Town
Prescot Cables
Radcliffe
Runcorn Linnets
Skelmersdale United
Southport
South Shields
Spennymoor Town
Stafford Rangers
Stalybridge Celtic
Stamford
Tadcaster Albion
Tamworth
Warrington Rylands
Whitley Bay
York City.
Never have I less looked forward to an FA Cup draw before due to the fact we can’t attend (unless we are drawn away to a lower side), and there’s a possibility we might not even participate unless we are given emergency funding. Anyway, if I was to predict any tie it’s got to be Runcorn Linnets away. It’s written in the stars!
