Team News: Two ruled out and one returns for Lokomotiv Plovdiv tie
Tottenham Hotspur return to European action tomorrow night when they make the trip to Bulgaria to face Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
Jose Mourinho’s side will play in the Europa League for the first time in five seasons after only managing to finish in sixth place in the Premier League last season.
Spurs enter the competition at the second qualifying stage after Arsenal’s FA Cup final success against Chelsea last season saw their North London rivals lose their place in the group stage.
Ahead of the fixture, Spurs have provided journalists dialling into Mourinho’s press conference at Hotspur Way with an injury update on his squad availability.
After a disappointing performance in the opening Premier League defeat to Everton on Sunday, Mourinho will certainly be looking for his players to show a significant amount of improvement.
Mourinho revealed that central defender Japhet Tanganga remains sidelined while right-back Serge Aurier has picked up a knock in training.
Giovani Lo Celso is fit and has returned to training following a hamstring problem that kept him sidelined for the Everton loss.
Mourinho confirms that Lo Celso is fit. Aurier picked up a knock in training. Tanganga still out.
Otherwise all good. #THFC
