KFC is doing ten-piece bucket for £10 saving you £7
KFC is giving chicken lovers a great deal where you can get a ten-piece bucket of chicken for just £10, which means it’s £1 per piece of meat.
The bucket, which contains boned chicken, is currently being sold on food delivery websites Deliveroo, Just Eat, and Uber Eats.
The deal, which doesn’t include sides or drinks, runs until October 4.
As the bucket is a new promotion for delivery, it’s not available in store at KFC restaurants.
Before the deal, if you wanted ten pieces of chicken delivered by Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats, you would have to buy an eight-piece bucket, plus a two-piece side of chicken, or a 12-piece bucket.
KFC prices vary by location but according to prices from a south east London address, this means that you would have to pay £12.49 for the eight piece bucket, plus £4.49 for the two piece.
This would cost £16.98 in total, which works out to around £1.69 per piece of chicken. So in this scenario you’re saving just under £7 with the offer.
Alternatively, a 12-piece bucket costs £17.59.
If you wanted a similar deal in store, you would have to choose the 10-piece bargain bucket, which starts from £15.99 and includes 10 pieces of meat and four portions of fries.
The discount was spotted by shoppers on cash saving website HotUKDeals.
It doesn’t include delivery fees though, so you need to bear this mind when you order.
Deliveroo’s delivery prices vary depending on where you live, but they generally start from £1.49, plus a 49p service fee.
You can get free delivery if you spend £15 on your order, but you’ll still have to pay the service fee as it’s a flat rate set by Deliveroo.
For Just Eat, delivery fees start from £2.49.
Uber Eats’ delivery fee also vary, but it starts from 79p for an order from KFC with a £1 service fee.
KFC also doesn’t open its doors in most restaurants until 11am, so you won’t be able to seize the deal until then.
It’s not the first time KFC has offered hungry Brits a deal on the bargain bucket.
You could get it for free back in June if you signed up to website TopCashback before ordering it through UberEats.
The deal’s no longer on offer but TopCashback regularly updates its deals, so keep an eye out and see if you could get your hands on some free chicken.
If chicken isn’t your thing KFC isn’t the only fast food chain that is offering discounted food this month.
