Meghan Markle and Prince Harry donate £100k to charity close to their hearts to match Sussex Squad donations
MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have made a donation of £100,00 to a charity close to their hearts.
The Duke, 36, and Duchess, 39, of Sussex, decided to match contributions from their fans, dubbed the Sussex Squad, who had raised money for Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED).

The loyal Sussex Squad had originally launched their fundraiser for Camfed to coincide with Meghan’s 39th birthday in August.
However, it was decided they would continue their drive until Prince Harry’s birthday on September 15.
Fans rallied for support using the hashtag #InspiredByMeghan, which changed to #InspiredByHarry after Meghan’s birthday.

Meghan and Harry are both prominent campaigners for female education NGO Camfed, which has already impacted the lives of nearly three million girls and young women across sub-Saharan Africa.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: “No better way to celebrate what really matters. Thank you to everyone who donated, Harry and Meghan.”
The couple, who stepped down as senior royals in March, are now living in LA with Archie, and have recently signed a £112m deal with Netlflix.
CAMFED tweeted: “Just in, a message from The Duke & Duchess of Sussex, who are matching your INSPIRING actions by making a $130,000 gift to CAMFED: ‘No better way to celebrate what really matters. Thank you to everyone who donated, Harry and Meghan’ #TogetherWeCan!”
The co-founder of the #InspiredByMeghan campaign Dani Trin has controversially been linked to Twitter account Henryscousin which previously posted a string of vile tweets about Kate Middleton and Prince William.
It has branded the Duchess of Cambridge a “b***h” and a “Karen” and her husband Prince William an “a**hole”.
Other posts over the past year made sick jokes about Kate being an “anorexic wrinkly hoe” and a “corner plant”.
Dani says she was not responsible for the offensive posts and there is no suggestion Meghan and Harry knew about the offensive messages being posted.
Before the Henryscousin was exposed, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex told Dani back in August that they were “so moved and so happy” after she helped raise around £45,000 for charities they support.
