Arsenal ace Mavropanos wanted by Werder Bremen on season-long loan transfer with 22-year-old not in Arteta’s plans
ARSENAL star Konstantinos Mavropanos is wanted on a season-long loan deal by Werder Bremen, according to reports.
The Gunners’ Greek centre-back is said to be wanted by five clubs.
Gunners defender Mavropanos looks likely to continue his development away from Arsenal[/caption]But it is the Bundesliga side who look most likely to land him, say Football London.
Mavropanos, who joined Arsenal in January 2018, went to second-tier German side Nuremberg in January.

His impressive performances there are said to have alerted top flight scouts.
Stuttgart are also rumoured to be interested in a move.
Sven Mislintat, who was Arsenal’s recruiment chief and brought Mavropanos into the club during his time in North London, is now Stuttgart’s technical director.
But Bremen are believed to be leading the chase.
The report adds that talks have been over a loan deal only so far.
And there is no indication yet whether there will be the option for whichever club signs the defender to keep him permanently.
Mikel Arteta’s side have eight central defenders and will welcome new signing William Saliba when his loan at Saint-Etienne ends.
It does not look like Mavropanos will come in to challenge the likes of David Luiz, Sokratis Papastathopoulos or Shkodran Mustafi.
This despite Arteta apologising for his side’s defensive frailties in the 2-1 derby defeat to Spurs on the weekend.

Germany has been a useful development ground for some Arsenal stars, so keeping Mavropanos, 22, there could be good for his long-term growth.
Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe, who had spells at Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig respectively, are among those to have benefited from the loan system in Germany.
Mavropanos, who struggled for fitness during Unai Emery’s time in charge at Arsenal, featured in 11 Bundesliga 2 games last season, picking up three yellows in the process.
