Charity boss who stole £9,000 to spend on alcohol & expensive cigars avoids jail by repaying it
A CHARITY’S tech boss who blew its cash on alcohol and expensive cigars avoided jail yesterday after repaying it.
Christopher Wiseman, 41, worked for the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, where he also pinched a laptop and three mobile phones.
He joined from a financial firm where he had also stolen an iPad Air and MacBook Air.
Wiseman used a charity credit card to buy booze and cigars at a luxury New Delhi hotel on a work trip.

He repaid £9,169 after being told he would be jailed if he did not.
The Kingston crown court judge called him “devious and manipulative”.
Wiseman, of Bromley, South London, admitted theft and got 21 months’ jail, suspended.
